Why a KakaoTalk QR helps

On a club recruitment poster or a store notice, 'search for us on KakaoTalk' loses people — they must type the exact room name and similar rooms clutter the results. With a QR code, pointing a camera opens the join screen directly.

KakaoTalk offers its own QR, but making your own gives you freedom: custom colors, a centered logo, and print-grade SVG downloads.

Step 1: Copy the open chat link

In KakaoTalk, open the chat room, tap the menu (≡) → Settings → 'Share open chat link' and copy it. You'll get an address like https://open.kakao.com/o/....

For a KakaoTalk channel, copy the channel home URL (pf.kakao.com/...) from the channel admin center. Both are ordinary web links, so a URL QR works.

Step 2: Create the QR

In the 'Create QR' tab on this site, keep the type as 'URL' and paste the link — the preview generates instantly. Match your brand with a color, or place a logo in the center.

For print (posters, banners) download the SVG, which scales without quality loss; for screens (chat notices, stories) PNG is convenient.

Tips and caveats

If you regenerate (change) the open chat link, the old QR stops working — recreate the QR whenever the link changes.

On posters, keep a margin around the QR and add a short prompt like 'Scan to join the chat room' — it noticeably increases scan rates.
